Energy Layer - Twin Nemesis[]

Takara Tomy's Twin Nemesis is an Attack Type Layer that features an overall elliptical design. One side of the Layer features a face, meant to represent the Layer's namesake: Nemesis, the Greek goddess of revenge. As part of the God Layer System, Twin Nemesis features a gimmick; the Layer can be set in two different modes, Smash Mode and Upper Mode.
In Smash Mode, the primary point of contact is a downward slope, meant for Force Smash. While the intended Force Smash can occur, the effect is inconsistent and is liable to Destabilizing the Twin Nemesis Combination instead of the opponent.
In Upper Mode, the primary point of contact is an upward slope, meant for Upper Attack. Due to the height of the Layer, the opponent’s Layer is likely to contact the slope which will tilt and Destabilize the opponent’s Combination, reducing their Stamina and increasing their risk of Bursts from the recoil of Twin Nemesis’ elliptical shape. Of the two modes, Upper Mode has greater success.
To compensate for the recoil, Twin Nemesis features tall teeth and the Upper Mode can mitigate excessive recoil and subsequent Self-Burst risk. Furthermore, the design of the gimmick focuses weight towards the perimeter, granting the Layer high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and subsequent Stamina. As such, Twin Nemesis is ideal for Attack Combinations with mobile Tips with high Stamina such as Accel or Iron.
Forge Disc - 12[]

12, like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Frame. Each side features three protrusions with the center protrusion in each set featuring molding in the shape of a "12" and four holes in the center, akin to 6. While the aggressive design of the Disc may imply high Burst potential from Disc-to-Layer contact, due to the fact that most Burst Performance Tips are of the same height, such contact is rare. Furthermore, 12's design is so aggressive that there have been numerous cases of the Disc severely damaging Layers that collide with it. Finally, 12 is the lightest Disc at the time of writing, lighter than even Armed which severely hinders Attack, Defense and Stamina potential. While the light weight would create high Burst Resistance, the heavy weight of the SwitchStrike/God Layer System and the Cho-Z Layer System makes the use of lightweight Discs for Burst Resistance obsolete.
Disc Frame - Expand[]
- Main article: Disc Frame - Expand
Expand is a round, wide Disc Frame with four smooth blades, with six gaps in total. This design, like the Maximum Garuda and Air Knight Energy Layers, is intended to produce Upper Force. In theory this Upper Force will help "lift" the Beyblade, lowering friction between the Performance Tip and the stadium floor to improve Stamina. In practice however, the blades instead create air resistance when spinning and slow the Beyblade down. The round design of Expand creates high Stamina and Life-After-Death (LAD), as its wide shape prevents the Energy Layer from touching the stadium floor when the Beyblade is tilting. Its LAD capabilities are comparable to those of other popular Disc Frames such as Cross, Glaive and Proof.
Performance Tip - Xtreme[]
- Main article: Performance Tip - Xtreme
Xtreme features a flat rubber tip with a circular depression in the center that sits at the standard height. Embossed on the top is a stylized "X" for easy differentiation.
Due to the surface area to friction ratio, Xtreme will create a highly aggressive, and if launched with a Banking Shoot, somewhat controllable movement pattern. In terms of speed, Xtreme is faster than Accel, Zephyr and Assault but is as fast as or slower than Hold or a worn Variable. Xtreme's high speed allows for strong attacks and its high friction creates less chances of losing the Banking Pattern in battle making it one of the most common choices for Attack Combinations.
However, Xtreme has three major weaknesses. Firstly, the high friction of the rubber means that Xtreme has incredibly low Stamina, furthermore, the light weight of the Burst System compared to previous Systems means that there is less inertia, exacerbating the Stamina issue further. Secondly, the high friction also means that Xtreme resists changes to the Beyblade's spin from contact with the opponent, thus more force is transferred the teeth in Takara Tomy Layers or the slopes in Hasbro Layers, increasing the chances of Self-Bursts. Lastly, Xtreme will wear down with use, decreasing its aggression with little to no improvement to the tip's Stamina, meaning that multiple copies much be purchased in order to replace worn ones.
