Ultimate Saizo, or Saizo (サイゾー, Saizo) in Japan, is a Spin Gear System Beyblade, released in July 1999.

Information[]

Ultimate Saizo is the second Beyblade to ever be released.

Bit Chip (BC): Saizo[]

The bit features a bit-chip from Next Generation Beigoma Battle: Beyblade. The Japanese version included all 3 stages of the Bit's progress from the game.

Attack Ring (AR): Tri-Cutter[]

Main article: Attack Ring - Tri-Cutter
  • Weight: 4 grams

Try Cutter is a circular Attack Ring with three small points and three larger points. Its small size does give it some use in two less conventional types of attack, which focus on using other parts to attack: Weight Disk Attack and Support Part Attack. It is important to note, however, that neither of these types have ever been as effective as conventional Attack, and as such, this AR is best seen as an interesting part rather than one with any competitive worth. Also, despite the small size, it still has too poor a distribution, and too much Recoil, to be of any real use to Zombies and Defense types. This Attack Ring comes with Ultimate Saizo, Spark Knight and Polta.

Use in Weight Disk Attack Customization[]

Try Cutter is a very compact AR, leaving most of the Weight Disk used in this combo exposed.

  • AR: Try Cutter (Polta/Saizo/Spark Knight)
  • WD: Wide Defense
  • BB: Grip Base (Dragoon Grip Attacker)

Use in Support Part Attack[]

In order to focus on attacking with the support part only, smaller parts aside from the SP and BB must be used. Try Cutter is perfect for this. Upper Attack SP provide good Upper Attack, easily reaching under opponents, Customize Grip Base offers high movement speed, and the 10 Heavy/Heavy Metal Core combination enhances the Upper Attack ability.

  • AR: Try Cutter (Polta/Saizo/Spark Knight)
  • WD: Ten Heavy
  • SG: Neo Right SG (Heavy Metal Core)
  • SP: Upper Attack (Driger V2)
  • BB: Customize Grip Base (Dragoon V2)

Weight Disk (WD): Heavy[]

Main article: Weight Disk - Heavy

As the name “Heavy” implies, the Heavy series of WDs is the heaviest available weight disk (including WDs not in the Six/Eight/Ten sided category). Due to the heavy weight and the compactness of that weight, the Heavy weight disks are often used for Compact type combos for the simple reason of increased RPM.

When the weight of a Beyblade is focused towards the centre (as opposed to a Wide WD where it is focused around the perimeter), its RPM will increase. This weight is also often put to use in Defense oriented customs, with weight being the primary concern in that type.

Ten Heavy is the heaviest out of all of the Heavy weight disks, and generally speaking, is chosen over Six and Eight Heavy when customizing.

Weight[]

  • Six Heavy: 16 grams

Blade Base (BB): Sharp[]

Main article: Blade Base - Sharp
  • Weight: 8 grams

This is often considered the predecessor of SG Sharp. The pointed tip of this BB allows for very little friction between the Beyblade and the Stadium surface which helps maintain high spin velocity. This offers very little movement and as such offers no Attack potential. This part is also often thrown off balance and can be easily toppled over. This in turn sacrifices all Defense ability. BB Sharp is highly outclassed and useless in competitive play.

Trivia[]

  • Saizo's bit is from the early Next Generation Beigoma Battle: Beyblade game. Many of the early Bit illusions were based on bits from this game. Also all parts of this Beyblade can be bought in the game.
