Superking Chip - Lucifer

Main article: Superking Chip - Lucifer 1

Takara Tomy's Lucifer 1[1] (or simply Lucifer) is a right-spin Superking Chip that features the face of the DB Core's namesake, Lucifer, a fallen angel from Abrahamic religions. It is the first of two Lucifer Superking Chips. Lucifer 1 is one of five Superking Chips to feature metal. Since Solomon with a Metal Chip Core is heavier than Lucifer 1, and more balanced, Solomon is generally better.

Main article: Chassis - 2D

2D or 2-Defense is a dual-spin Defense Type Double Chassis with a "Barrier Blades" gimmick. As a Double Chassis, a 2D combination cannot use a Disc, as 2D has a Disc integrated into the design. At high spin velocity, the centrifugal force activates the Barrier Blades, which deploy outwards that are intended to nullify attacks.

Performance Tip - Mobius

Main article: Performance Tip - Mobius

Mobius is a tall Performance Tip with a low angled, free-spinning, conical sharp tip. The sharp tip of Mobius creates low friction with the stadium floor, resulting in high Stamina and Burst Defense. In addition, the wide diameter of the free spinning sharp tip helps maintain stability. Mobius works particularly well against Opposite-Spin opponents. Compared to its successor Bearing Mobius, Mobius has slightly better performance against Opposite-Spin opponents, while Bearing Mobius has slightly better Same-Spin performance.

The blue B-194 release of Mobius has a tip with the most free-spin.

Trivia

  • Variant Lucifer's name is a combination of "variant", a version of something that differs in some respect from other forms of the same thing or from a standard, and "Lucifer", a Latin name for the phrase "light-bringer" that describes the planet Venus in its morning appearance in astronomy, and also the name of the Archangel who was cast out of heaven and became the devil in Christianity.
  • Variant Lucifer's avatar is a doppelganger of Super Hyperion and King Helios' with alterations:
    • A humanoid creature with black skin, light-gray portions throughout the body, and violet armor.
    • Seven pronged helmet (six violet and one black).
    • A sun-like spike crest on the chest with a metal orb in the center (Which represents the metal core on the Lucifer Superking Chip).
    • Magenta neon lines in the thorax region and pink neon lines throughout the body.
    • Six violet and black wing-like structures that extend and open to form pink neon wings.
    • Classic-green claws, elbow spikes, knee spikes, and feet spikes.
    • And a long tail.
  • Variant Lucifer's six wings are also a reference to the six rubber blades on the Beyblade's Chassis.
  • Following its victory over Rage Longinus, the wings of Variant Lucifer's avatar doubled in size.
