Wind Knight Moon Bounce-6 (ウインドナイト・ムーン・バウンス-6, Uindo Naito Mūn Baunsu-6) is a Stamina Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dynamite Battle Layer System and the Burst Ultimate Layer Series. It was released in Japan on September 10th, 2022 as the prize Beyblade in Random Booster Vol. 30.

In the toyline, it is the successor to Air Knight 12Expand Eternal.

DB Core - Knight

Main article: DB Core - Knight

Takara Tomy's Knight is a right-spin DB Core that features the helmet of a knight, akin to its predecessor, the Air Knight Cho-Z Layer. Knight has below average Burst Resistance and Stamina performance compared to other right-spin DB Cores.

Knight features a gimmick: when struck by an opponent, a vertically positioned built-in spring mechanism causes the DB Core to tilt sideways, which increases Knockout (KO) Defense by cushioning the impact and pushing back the opponent. This spring-loaded "Bound Defense", which is reminiscent of the Deep Chaos God Layer, makes Knight excellent in Defense combinations. Despite this, due to its low Burst Resistance and Stamina, Knight is outclassed by other right-spin DB Cores that have greater Burst Resistance and Stamina.

Knight is compatible with the "BU Lock" gimmick. When paired with the two BU Lock compatible DB Discs, Xanthus and Moon, raised protrusions on the Disc tabs lock into two grooves on Knight. This results in increased Burst Resistance and a sturdy combination, preventing the Disc from shaking during battle.

BU Blade - Wind

Main article: BU Blade - Wind

Takara Tomy's Wind is a thick Stamina Type BU Blade with a wide, round perimeter, akin to its predecessor, the Air Knight Cho-Z Layer. As part of the Burst Ultimate Layer Series, Wind features a gimmick: depending on the position of its "propeller blades", Wind can switch between an "Upper Force Mode" and a "Down Force Mode". A tab is used to unlock and relock the BU Blade, which is comprised of two pieces that slide to switch modes. Three large gaps separate the center from the perimeter, which are intended to increase Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and consequently Stamina.

In Upper Force Mode, the indicator is located on the right side of the gap. In theory air enters downwards through the gap, creating Upper Force that lifts the Beyblade upwards off the Stadium floor, decreasing the friction between the bottom of the Driver and the Stadium floor to increase Stamina.

In Down Force Mode, the indicator is located on the left side of the gap. In theory air enters upwards through the gap, creating Down Force that pushes the Beyblade downwards against the Stadium floor, increasing the friction between the bottom of the Driver and the Stadium floor to increase Defense and speed.

In practice however, the effects of the gimmick are negligible, and the propeller blades create air resistance when the Wind combination is spinning. Due to its thick shape, smooth round perimeter, and large gaps, Wind is one of the strongest right-spin Stamina Type options in the metagame. It is also the widest BU Blade, with the largest diameter of all the Layers released. Like all Blades, Wind can switch between Low and High Modes by swapping the position of the DB Core and the Armor.

Its superb Stamina performance against both Same-Spin and Opposite-Spin opponents makes the Wind BU Blade a must-have in the Burst metagame.

Armor - 6

Main article: Armor - 6
The 6 Armor disperses the Beyblade's center of gravity outwards and evenly at six points, strengthening the Beyblade's centrifugal force.
— Official Description

Takara Tomy's 6 is an Armor with six square protrusions and small nubs between each. The design has an even weight distribution at six points to increase Stamina.

Forge Disc - Moon

Main article: Forge Disc - Moon

Takara Tomy's Moon is a circular DB Disc named that features an outer plastic piece meant to invoke the Expand Disc Frame, whose design Moon references. Moon also features two gaps separating the center from the edge, which are intended to further create Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and thus increase Stamina.

Moon is one of two DB Discs that can use the "BU Lock" gimmick, with the same metal piece as Xanthus. Like Xanthus, Moon features raised protrusions on its tabs, which can lock into two grooves on a "BU Lock" compatible DB Core. This results in increased Burst Resistance and a sturdy combination, preventing the Disc from shaking during battle.

Trivia

  • Similar to its predecessor Air Knight, Wind Knight's name is based on "wind", which passes through its "propeller blades", and "knight", which is a reference to Valkyrie, whose avatar is an armored knight.[1]
  • The design of Wind Knight is based on the concept of an evolution to Air Knight 12Expand Eternal that combined with the features of Maximum Garuda 8Flow Flugel. Wind Knight's Upper and Down Force Modes are the result of Air Knight being "fused with Garuda's DNA".[2]
