Energy Layer - Wyvern[]

Main article: Energy Layer - Wyvern
The motif is of the flying dragon, Wyvern. A right-spin Defense Type Layer with seven blades that are used to burst an opponent and parry attacks.
— Official Description

Takara Tomy's Wyvern is a circular, seven-bladed Energy Layer. The center of the Energy Layer features the head of a dragon to represent this Layer's namesake; a two legged, winged dragon, the Wyvern.

While the spiked design may imply that this Energy Layer has a lot of recoil, the direction of the blades means that they would parry the oncoming hits which reduces recoil. When the opponent's Layer comes into contact with Wyvern, there are two likely outcomes. The opposing Energy Layer hits the outside of Wyvern’s blade, resulting in minimal impact, or the opposing layer hits the empty space between Wyvern’s spikes, causing the opposing Energy Layer to be pushed away. This gives this Energy Layer high Defense potential. Most of the weight of this Energy Layer is focused around the perimeter which combined with its circular shape gives it excellent Stamina properties as well.

Wyvern features four teeth of short length, while this may imply poor Burst Resistance, the circular shape of Wyvern produces such little recoil that it can be withstood by its teeth, creating a Layer with high Burst Resistance. However, like other pre-Xcalibur Layers, the teeth of Wyvern wear out fairly quickly and thus multiple copies must be purchased in order to replace ones that have worn down.

Forge Disc - Heavy[]

Main article: Forge Disc - Heavy

Heavy is a primarily circular Forge Disc, sporting a ring-like shape with numerous ridges on its interior that is interrupted by four rectangular protrusions designed to look like armored plates. As its name suggests, Heavy was the heaviest Forge Disc in the Burst System for a considerable period of time, until Gravity, which also weighs 21.6 grams, and Quarter, which weighs 21.8 grams were released. Despite this, Heavy is still one of the heaviest Forge Discs in the game, making it a popular choice for many Bladers. As its weight is a welcome asset to nearly any Beyblade, it enjoys a wide variety of uses on Combinations of all types. Heavy's high weight and compact shape gives it a Centralized Weight Distribution (CWD), making it particularly useful for Burst Attack as it will maximize the RPM of the Beyblade. This same weight distribution also makes it considerably more difficult to Burst than Gravity, the other disc in its weight class, at the cost of a significant amount of Stamina. Because of this, it is a better option for a Knock-Out Defense Combination than Gravity as Knock-Out Defense Combinations rely on high friction and weight to remain in the stadium, at the same time increasing their vulnerability to Bursting. However, due to its weight, Heavy is still more prone to Bursting than most lighter competitive Forge Discs such as Spread, Knuckle, and Armed.

Performance Tip - Survive[]

Main article: Performance Tip - Survive

Survive is a Performace Tip with a low-angled cone shape protruding from a cylinder. As a result, while it is overpowered by some Heavy Defense Combinations, it has still shown to be useful in Stamina-based Burst Combinations.

However, it can also be used as a Defense Performance Tip in absence of better ones, and while it is outclassed, its shape helps it rebound from attacks and prevent Knock-Outs. While good ball-shaped or rubber sharp Performance Tips lack in Beyblade Burst, Survive has enough Stability to take hits without losing all balance and Precessing too early like sharper tips.
