Forge Disc - Magnum[]

Main article: Forge Disc - Magnum

The Magnum Disc features a circular metal center component with a plastic perimeter covering the sides and some of the top. This leaves the metal directly on the bottom and the prongs that fit into the Layer still exposed. The covering features three triangular protrusions and one round protrusion. Unlike other Forge Discs, the letter M is not located on the prongs as they are located on the plastic instead. Magnum is meant to distribute weight on three corners like Triple, however, the lightweight outer plastic construction limits the effects of such a weight distribution.

Magnum has a notable interaction with the Xeno Xcalibur Layer: after two clicks, the protrusion of Magnum will line up with Xeno Xcalibur's sword protrusion contact point.

Performance Tip - Impact[]

Main article: Performance Tip - Impact

Impact is an Attack Type Performance Tip that features a star shaped rubber tip with three points. The plastic of the Performance Tip extends between these three points on the rubber tip, filling in the space.

However, the two different surfaces makes Impact difficult to control and effectively reduces its Stamina, as the two different surfaces are contacting the stadium floor simultaneously, worsening the friction between the Performance Tip and the stadium floor. The constant change in surface effectively halts the Performance Tip: speeding up with the rubber, then slowing down with the plastic, and so forth. Because of this, Impact is not recommended for any Combination.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Xcalius" is likely a portmanteau of Xcalibur (the original Takara Tomy name) and "gladius", which is Latin for "sword".
