Xeno Xcalibur Magnum Impact (ゼノエクスカリバー・マグナム・インパクト, Zeno Ekusukaribā Magunamu Inpakuto) is an Attack Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It was released as a Starter in Japan on July 2nd, 2016 for 1620円 and included a Sword Launcher. It is the evolution of Xcalibur Force Xtreme and later evolved into Sieg Xcalibur 1 Iron.
Energy Layer - Xeno Xcalibur
Main article: Energy Layer - Xeno Xcalibur
Takara Tomy's Xeno Xcalibur, like its predecessor Xcalibur, is an Attack Type Layer that features a large sword running down the length of the Layer, the end of which protrudes from the bottom and acts as the primary contact point making this Layer excel at both Knock-Out and Burst Attack. Xeno Xcalibur also features tall teeth which allows the Layer to withstand its own recoil. However, due to the exaggerated designs around the sword, Xeno Xcalibur's contact point doesn't protrude as far as Xcalibur's, meaning that the Layer is outclassed by its predecessor, if only slightly.
Due to the design of the sword, the Layer, like its predecessor, is unbalanced towards the sword point to increase Burst potential. However this drains Stamina and is liable to break banking patterns depending on the Tip used.
There are two mold variations of Xeno Xcalibur: the first mold is very fragile with common occurrences of both the handle and the blade of the sword breaking and the paint on the blade chipping off, the second mold features a reinforced handle and an unpainted blade in the Random Booster Volume 5 releases, to solve these problems but the blade itself remains unchanged.
It is advised to find a second generation mold and be prepared to replace it.
Forge Disc - Magnum
Main article: Forge Disc - Magnum
Magnum features a circular metal disc with a plastic covering around the sides and some of the top. This leaves the metal directly on the bottom and the prongs that fit into the energy layer still exposed. The covering features three triangular protrusions and one round protrusion. Unlike other Forge Discs, the letter M is not located on the prongs as they are located on the plastic instead. Magnum is meant to distribute weight on three corners like Triple, however, the lightweight outer plastic construction limits the effects of such a weight distribution.
Performance Tip - Impact
Main article: Performance Tip - Impact
Impact features a star-like rubber tip, with three points. The plastic of the Performance Tip extends between these three points on the rubber tip, filling in the space left by the rubber tip.
However, these plastic fillers cause Impact to be hard to control and effectively reduce its Stamina, due to the fact that two different surfaces are contacting the stadium simultaneously as well as successively, effectively worsening the friction with no real benefit compared to a Performance Tip like Xtreme. Consequently, as a flat tip, the ridge on the perimeter that comes in contact with the stadium floor always gets halted at each change of material: speeding up with the rubber, then slipping and slowing down with the plastic, and so forth.
Impact has three rubber points with three plastic points filling in the gaps between the rubber the plastic makes Impact’s movements uncontrollable. The two different surfaces contacting the stadium simultaneously worsens the Stamina significantly. The rubber making contact with the stadium increases speed, then when the plastic makes contact it slows and decreases grip with the stadium. Because of this, it is not recommended for any Combination.
- Xeno Xcalibur is based from the legendary sword Excalibur from Arthurian tales.
- Xeno Xcalibur is the only Beyblade in the Beyblade Burst anime to have an inanimate object as its avatar; in this case, a sword.
- Despite being marketed as a "Dual Layer Beyblade", the Xeno Xcalibur Energy Layer actually features three layers.
