Xeno Xcalibur Vertical Claw (ゼノエクスカリバー・バーチカル・クロー, Zeno Ekusukaribā Bāchikaru Kurō) is a Stamina Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It was released in Japan on December 28th, 2016 for 972円 as one of eight possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 5 Gigant Gaia.Q.F.

Energy Layer - Xeno Xcalibur[]

Main article: Energy Layer - Xeno Xcalibur

Takara Tomy's Xeno Xcalibur, like its predecessor Xcalibur, is an Attack Type Layer that features a large sword running down the length of the Layer, the end of which protrudes from the bottom and acts as the primary contact point making this Layer excel at both Knock-Out and Burst Attack. Xeno Xcalibur also features tall teeth which allows the Layer to withstand its own recoil. However, due to the exaggerated designs around the sword, Xeno Xcalibur's contact point doesn't protrude as far as Xcalibur's, meaning that the Layer is outclassed by its predecessor, if only slightly. The contact point has a notable interaction with the Magnum, 1, and 1' Discs: after two clicks, the contact point will line up with the sword protrusions of the Discs.

Due to the design of the sword, the Layer, like its predecessor, is imbalanced towards the sword point to increase Burst potential. However this drains Stamina and is liable to break banking patterns depending on the Tip used.

There are two mold variations of Xeno Xcalibur: the first mold is very fragile with common occurrences of both the handle and the blade of the sword breaking and the paint on the blade chipping off, the second mold features a reinforced handle and an unpainted blade in the Random Booster Volume 5 releases, to solve these problems but the blade itself remains unchanged.

It is advised to find a second generation mold and be prepared to replace it.

Forge Disc - Vertical[]

Main article: Forge Disc - Vertical

Vertical is shaped somewhat like an upside-down funnel, similar to its predecessor Armed. However, unlike Armed, which has a more gradual and rounded slope, Vertical’s slope begins at a sharper angle and continues downward in a straight line. Vertical also sports a jagged, line-like design, which forms the outline for several holes on the disc’s exterior and eight protrusions on its underside. Despite resembling Armed in terms of shape, Vertical does not offer the same resistance to Bursting that Armed is notable for, while also possessing less Stamina than top-tier Forge Discs such as Spread and Gravity.

Performance Tip - Claw[]

Main article: Performance Tip - Claw

Claw features a low angled cone tip akin to Survive, albeit with a smaller diameter, with four free-moving "claws" along the sides of the Tip, akin to Metal Fight Beyblade's C145 Track. When spinning, the centrifugal force will force the claws up and outwards to in theory increase Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and in turn increase Stamina. In practice however, such an effect is negligible and does little to increase Stamina potential. Furthermore, when spin speed drops and the claws fall back down they scrape against the stadium floor and reduce Precession time, making Claw outclassed by Survive for Stamina. However, the claws grant Claw decent Knock-Out Resistance as they will scrape against the stadium floor if a Claw Combination is struck and resist Knock-Outs at the cost of Stamina, akin to the tabs of Defense. Furthermore, the small point of contact creates low friction with the stadium floor and increases Burst Resistance.
