Xiphoid Xcalibur Xanthus Sword'-1 (ジフォイドエクスカリバー・ザンザス・ソードダッシュ-1, Jifoido Ekusukaribā Zanzasu Sōdo Dasshu-1) is an Attack Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dynamite Battle Layer System and the Burst Ultimate Layer Series. It was released as a Starter in Japan on July 16th, 2022 for 2640円.

In the toyline, it is the successor to Buster Xcalibur 1' Sword.

DB Core - Xcalibur

Main article: DB Core - Xcalibur

Takara Tomy's Xcalibur is a right-spin DB Core that features large sword, representing the DB Core's namesake; Excalibur, the legendary sword of King Arthur. The design is reminiscent of its predecessor, the Xeno Xcalibur Layer. Xcalibur is the second heaviest right-spin DB Core and the second heaviest DB Core overall, behind Perseus.

Xcalibur features a gimmick: after the first click, a built-in metal sword extends outwards, but is hindered by the Disc tabs. After the second click, the sword fully extends, shifting the Beyblade's center of gravity and theoretically increasing Attack Potential. In this activated, imbalanced state, it is known as the "One Hit Mode (一撃モード, Ichigeki Mōdo)". Xcalibur's gimmick and imbalanced weight distribution is intended to work in tandem with the Xiphoid BU Blade, lining up with the sword-tip like protrusion of Xiphoid. The heavy weight of Xcalibur also generates high inertia which increases a Xcalibur combination's Knockout and Burst Attack potential.

Xcalibur is compatible with the "BU Lock" gimmick. When paired with the two BU Lock compatible DB Discs, Xanthus and Moon, raised protrusions on the Disc tabs lock into two grooves on Xcalibur. This results in increased Burst Resistance and a sturdy combination, preventing the Disc from shaking during battle.

BU Blade - Xiphoid

Main article: BU Blade - Xiphoid

Takara Tomy's Xiphoid is a right-spin Attack Type BU Blade with a sword tip-like protrusion on the bottom that acts as the primary contact point. The design is reminiscent of the Sieg Xcalibur Layer, which Xiphoid references. Xiphoid works in tandem with the Xcalibur DB Core, with the latter's metal sword gimmick lining up with Xiphoid's protrusion to change into the "One Hit Mode (一撃モード, Ichigeki Mōdo)". Like its predecessors in the Xcalibur line, this is meant to create an imbalanced weight distribution, focused at the protrusion, making the Combination excel at Knockout (KO) and Burst Attack. In addition, the overall diamond shape creates four recoil heavy points of contact.

Like all BU Blades, Xiphoid can switch between Low and High Modes by swapping the position of the DB Core and the Armor.

Armor - 1

Main article: Armor - 1

Takara Tomy's 1 is an Armor with its weight focused at a single point. The asymmetrical design creates an imbalanced weight distribution, which increases Attack capabilities. The imbalanced design of 1 is intended to work in tandem with the Xcalibur DB Core and Xiphoid BU Blade in High Mode.

Forge Disc - Xanthus

Main article: Forge Disc - Xanthus

Takara Tomy's Xanthus is an asymmetrical DB Disc named after Xanthus, one of Achilles' immortal horses in Greek mythology.[1] It features an outer plastic piece meant to invoke Magnum, whose design Xanthus references. The imbalanced design of Xanthus is intended to work in tandem with the Xcalibur DB Core and Xiphoid BU Blade to change into the "One Hit Mode (一撃モード, Ichigeki Mōdo)" which activates after two clicks. In the One Hit Mode, the triangular sword-tip like protrusion of Xanthus lines up with the metal sword gimmick of Xcalibur and the sword-tip like protrusion of Xiphoid. This gimmick is reminiscent of Magnum's interaction with the Xeno Xcalibur Layer.

Xanthus is compatible with DB Cores that use the "BU Lock" gimmick. Xanthus features raised protrusions on its tabs, which can lock into two grooves on a "BU Lock" compatible DB Core. This results in increased Burst Resistance and a sturdy combination, preventing the Disc from shaking during battle.

Performance Tip - Sword'

Main article: Performance Tip - Sword'

Sword' features a wide, metal, six-pointed star tip, akin to a combination of Iron, Assault and Jaggy. Due to the shape and surface area, Sword' will create a highly aggressive movement pattern with speeds comparable to Assault. However, the rough perimeter, low friction of the metal and wide diameter of the tip makes it difficult for Sword' to maintain a banking pattern and creates relatively poor Stamina despite the metal construction, making Sword' ill-suited for Tornado Stalling Combinations as well.

Furthermore, Sword' features two sword-like protrusions on either side. Due to the height of the Burst System, no Combination can come into contact with the protrusions and they instead create a severe scrape risk, nullifying Life-After-Death potential. When paired with the Xcalibur line of Layers, the protrusions are meant to line up with the Layer's sword point to increase Attack potential. However, the protrusions are too small have any noticeable effect.

Finally, Sword' is taller than most other Performance Tips which further reduces Attack potential as most Attack Type benefit from being at lower heights. Like other Dash Drivers, Sword' features a stronger spring lock, increasing the Performance Tip's Burst Resistance.
