Yaeger Yggdrasil 8Meteor Quake (イェーガーユグドラシル・エイトメテオ・クエイク, Yēgā Yugudorashiru Eito Meteo Kueiku) is an Attack Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It was released in Japan in October 21st, 2017 for 972円 as one of eight possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 8 Shelter Regulus.5S.Tw.

Energy Layer - Yaeger Yggdrasil[]

Main article: Energy Layer - Yaeger Yggdrasil

Takara Tomy's Yaeger Yggdrasil is a kite-shaped Stamina Type Energy Layer similar to its predecessor Yggdrasil. It is named after Yggdrasil, the tree of life in Norse mythology, however to represent the anime’s rendition of this Layer’s beast, two dragon heads are present on either side near the center of the Energy layer.

Most of the weight of Yaeger Yggdrasil is focused on its perimeter. While this may imply high Stamina potential, the kite like shape of the layer produces recoil which diminishes the Stamina of the layer, making it outclassed by Energy Layers like Deep Chaos and Screw Trident. The recoil produced by the kite-like shape is too low to be useful for Attack Combinations. Further more, Yaeger Yggdrasil features four teeth of short length which are unable to handle its recoil making it extremely prone to Bursting. Due to these reasons, Yaeger Yggdrasil has no competitive usage in any type of Combination.

Forge Disc - 8[]

Main article: Forge Disc - 8

8, like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. Each side features four protrusions, each molded into the shape of an "8". Each of the lower loops of the "8"s features gaps, akin to Knuckle, which takes weight away from the center and creates high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and subsequent Flywheel Effect, features theoretically perfect for Stamina. Furthermore, 8 is one of the heaviest Discs in the game, heavier than Heavy, Gravity, 2, 4, and 6 and its use can bolster a Beyblade's Knock-Out Resistance and Attack potential. However, like other heavy discs with high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) such as Gravity and Ring, the use of 8 severely decreases a Beyblade's Burst Resistance as a trade off.

Disc Frame - Meteor[]

Main article: Disc Frame - Meteor

Meteor is a pentagonal Disc Frame with numerous protrusions to give it a rough perimeter. While too small to come into contact with the opponent's Layer, Meteor is one of the thickest Disc Frames available, which grants high Attack potential when paired with Core Discs such as 7.

Performance Tip - Quake[]

Main article: Performance Tip - Quake

Quake features an elliptical shaped flat tip that is off center of the Performance Tip, meant to make the Beyblade that it is connected to jump around the stadium akin to Quake in Metal Fight Beyblade. However, due to how shallow the tip's angle is as well as how little it is off center, the effect is not consistent and must rely on a lightweight and off balance Combination as well as a heavily angled launch. The hopping gimmick is meant to create Disc-to-Layer contact and Burst the opponent, however the aforementioned lack of consistency in the effect makes such an attack method not recommended for competitive play. Furthermore, the offset and slanted tip means that Quake is incapable of maintaining a Banking Pattern and will grind against the Tornado Ridge, making Quake ill-suited for Mobile Attack and Tornado Staller Combinations in general.
