Yegdrion Y2 Gravity Yielding, known as Yaeger Yggdrasil Gravity Yielding (イェーガーユグドラシル・グラビティ・イールディング, Yēgā Yugudorashiru Gurabiti Īrudingu) in Japan, is a Stamina Type Beyblade released as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It was released in Japan on July 16th, 2016 for 972円 as the prize Beyblade in Random Booster Vol. 3 Yaeger Yggdrasil.G.Y.

Energy Layer - Yegdrion Y2

Main article: Energy Layer - Yegdrion Y2
Yegdrion Y2 is a kite-shaped Stamina Type Energy Layer similar to its predecessor Yegdrion. It is named after Yggdrasil, the tree of life in Norse mythology, however to represent the anime’s rendition of this Layer’s beast, two dragon heads are present on either side near the center of the Energy layer.

Most of the weight of Yegdrion Y2 is focused on its perimeter. While this may imply high Stamina potential, the kite like shape of the layer produces recoil which diminishes the Stamina of the layer, making it outclassed by Energy Layers like Deep Chaos and Screw Trident. The recoil produced by the kite-like shape is too low to be useful for Attack Customizations. Further more, the Takara Tomy release of Yaeger Yggdrasil features four teeth of short length which are unable to handle its recoil making it extremely prone to Bursting. Due to these reasons, Yaeger Yggdrasil has no competitive usage in any type of Combination.

Forge Disc - Gravity

Main article: Forge Disc - Gravity
Gravity has a thick, octagonal shape and bears designs that resemble steel plates on each of its eight segments. As with all Forge Discs, it has two tabs that protrude from the top and fit in the slots in the Energy Layer. These tabs are marked with a stylized G to identify the Forge Disc.

Gravity was tied with Heavy for the heaviest Forge Disc in the game, making it a solid choice for adding weight to the Beyblade and increasing its KO Defense. Compared to the rather compact Heavy, Gravity has a larger diameter and more of its weight packed around its perimeter, giving it arguably what was the best Stamina in the game and increasing the mobility of more aggressive combos with the Flywheel Effect. However, it has been outclassed by 7 for Stamina. The high spin momentum provided by Gravity's Outward Weight Distribution means that the overall Beyblade will not lose much spin upon collision with an opponent, however that means that the force of the impact will instead be absorbed by the Energy Layer, causing it to skip teeth to cope with the shock.

Takara Tomy

  • Yegdrion Y2's japanese name, Yaeger Yggdrasil, is based from the German word "Jaeger", which means "hunter", and "Yggdrasil", the world tree connecting all the nine realms of Asgard, Midgard (Earth), Jotunheim, Alfheim, Nidavellir, Vanaheim, Niflheim, Muspelheim, and Hel in Norse mythology.
  • Yegdrion Y2's avatar resembles a cross between a tree and a giant turtle, a reference to the World Turtle from Hindu, Chinese and several North American mythologies.
