Yegdrion Ring Gyro, known in Japan as Yggdrasil Ring Gyro (ユグドラシル・リング・ジャイロ, Yugudorashiru Ringu Jairo), is a Stamina-Type Beyblade released as part of the Burst System. It was released as a Starter in Japan on February 20th, 2016 for 1500円.

Energy Layer - Yegdrion

Main article: Energy Layer - Yegdrion

Hasbro's Yegdrion is a Stamina Type Energy Layer based on Takara Tomy's Yggdrasil. As such, it has the same square shape, with two dragon heads and two sloped blades meant to represent dragon claws. The blades make up the primary points of contact of this Layer. Most of the weight of Yegdrion is focused on its perimeter, creating superb Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and high Stamina potential.

While its Takara Tomy counterpart suffered from weak Burst Resistance due to its four short teeth, Yegdrion has moderate slopes, giving it greater Burst Resistance and the ability to withstand its own recoil.

Forge Disc - Ring

Main article: Forge Disc - Ring

As its name suggests, Ring is a Forge Disc with a smooth, solid ring that forms its perimeter. The ring is interrupted by 4 small designs that cause it to somewhat resemble a pipe. The ring is connected to the interior of the disk by two thin triangular structures, as well as the prongs that fit inside the Energy Layer. Ring's smooth perimeter provides the Beyblade with a small amount of Life-After-Death, allowing it to roll on the edge of the disc for a few extra rotations after falling over, making it useful for Stamina Combinations. Additionally, nearly all of Ring's weight is located on its perimeter, so it offers impressive Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and increases the Beyblade's Stamina significantly thanks to the Flywheel Effect. However, this weight distribution also has its downsides.

As a Forge Disc with high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) such as Ring, it's more difficult to slow down while spinning, when colliding with an opponent, a Beyblade using Ring will not lose very much Stamina from the force of the impact. This force must go somewhere, though, and is usually absorbed by the Energy Layer instead, making it more likely to skip its teeth and Burst. Because of this, Ring is generally not recommended over Forge Discs with similar Stamina but less of a tendency to Burst, such as Spread and Knuckle.

Performance Tip - Gyro

Main article: Performance Tip - Gyro

Gyro features a small free-spinning, low angled cone tip and is at the height of a standard Performance Tip. In prime condition, Gyro causes the Beyblade to have a calm movement pattern while the low angle of the tip resists Destabilization and subsequent scrape risks. The free-spinning nature of Gyro allows it to outclass its predecessor Survive in Stamina potential.
